WISCONSIN — Wisconsin officials on Friday suspended the license of a manufacturer of fishing spatulas after the spatula’s maker posted a photo of a man fishing on a duck.
The suspension was in response to an ad that surfaced on social media on Friday that showed a man standing on a beach and using a fishing spatule to catch fish.
Wisconsin State Patrol Sgt. Mike Dominguez said the company’s posting violated the state’s fishing license regulations and it would face fines.
Dominguez did not elaborate on the charges.
Domingez said the suspension could be overturned at the next meeting.
The photo shows a man holding a fishing paddle and fishing on the beach in Lake Wiscasset.
