A fishing line and a fish net were found Monday near the mouth of Lakeland’s Leduc river, police said.
Lakeland Police said they were dispatched to the area after receiving a report of an injured animal, which was later identified as a male angler’s line and the net.
The animal was transported to the police department for treatment.
Lakelands police said they had no further details.
They said they’re asking anyone who sees something suspicious to call police.
